Johan Steyn and AAAI Collaborate to Expand AI Awareness in Africa and the Middle East

The African Academy of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) is thrilled to announce its collaboration with Johan Steyn Steyn, a globally recognized advocate for human-centered artificial intelligence. Steyn will contribute to AAAI's efforts in Africa and the Middle East, joining an esteemed roster of experts to promote Responsible AI, AI Ethics, and the development of AI Councils.

Johan Steyn, known for his influence as a speaker at international conferences and his consultancy work in responsible AI, ethics, and emerging technologies, was awarded the title of Best AI & Robotics Management Consultant by Wealth & Finance magazine in the UK in 2019. His contributions to the field include roles such as Global AI Ambassador for Swiss Cognitive and Research Fellow at Stellenbosch University's School of Data Science and Computational Thinking in South Africa, along with serving as an Adjunct Professor at Woxsen University's School of Business in India.

Greg Serandos Serandos, Co-Founder of AAAI, emphasizes the importance of Steyn's expertise, particularly in Responsible AI, Ethics, and regulatory policy.
