Ukraine’s plans on joining NATO added fuel to the fire. He justified his acts of violence by stating his desire to save the Ukrainian population from years of bullying and genocide by their government. His mind did not swap a bit even when the UN gave warnings after warning. After months, he addressed the world, saying it was not his intention to occupy regions of Ukraine and that he did not intend to impose anything on anyone by force.
