Mentoring Programme Success
A selection of the first raft of inductees to the Jobs4football mentoring programme have had tremendous success this month. With the inaugural 4 week course coming to an end, a number of candidates have not only gained final stage interviews but also taken on new roles within the football industry which we have been delighted to see. We will focus on three of our candidates in our review.
Dutch UEFA A licence coach Bryan De Vries (Pictured Above) left his role in China to return to Europe to find his next challenge. 3 weeks upon his return to Holland, he accepted the role of Women Head Coach at an exciting project with Sparta Rotterdam.
Benefitting from Jobs4football direction, network and knowledge of the Gulf market, Bryan was also offered the role of Head Coach with a leading European club International academy brand in Saudi Arabia which he declined. Bryan has an extremely exciting future in the game.
UEFA B coach Josh Rutherford was on the search of a full time role within football and having limited success at closing that next opportunity. Jobs4football worked with Josh to re structure his CV, educate on global coaching opportunities outside of the UK and instil confidence/educate in reference to interview technique. Josh secured a role with Huddersfield Town Foundation as Community Coach + Matchday Co-ordinator and has subsequently extended his time on the grass with a part time academy role with Rochdale AFC. Safe to say he will be kept busy, however we are delighted he has taken that next step of his career pathway.
Finally, FA Level 2 Talent ID and North West England based scout Dean Ellis has been selected for interview for a prestigious role with Women's football and awaits feedback. Dean has benefitted from an improved CV, online exposure/networking and 'Hotlist' opportunities through jobs4football.

Featured Staff Interview
Within July, Jobs4football posted a number of engaging interviews, however we focus specifically on a Scotsman adventure in South East Asia. Chris Grant is currently the General Manager of Svay Rieng Football Club, currently top of the Cambodian Premier League, but it is a far cry from his upbringing in Edinburgh!
Our article discusses the challenges of coaching and managing a team in Asia and the key lessons he has learnt in his experience so far.
In August, Jobs4football will be conducting a number of LIVE Twitter Spaces in reference to the topic of coaching abroad and what to expect. Keep an eye on our social media for further announcements.
