Anaesthetist
Job Purpose
To evaluate, monitor, and supervise patient care before, during, and after surgery, delivering anesthesia, leading the Anesthesia Care Team, and ensuring optimal patient safety.
Responsibilities
-Assess patients’ medical history and develop individualized anaesthesia plans.
Administer anaesthesia for surgical procedures.
-Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anaesthesia levels as needed.
-Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety during procedures.
Provide post-anaesthetic care and pain management.
Qualifications
-Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
-Anaesthetic residency and certification from a recognized institution.
-Valid HPCZ medical license to practice in Zambia.
-Strong knowledge of anaesthesia drugs and equipment.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work effectively in a team.
Obstetrician-Gynaecologist
Job Purpose
To diagnose and treat obstetric/gynaecological conditions as well as advise patients on birth control and fertility matters.
Responsibilities
-Diagnose and treat various obstetric/gynaecological conditions and disorders.
-Conduct thorough obstetric/gynaecological examinations, assessments and procedures.
-Perform surgeries, including but not limited to, hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and other gynaecological surgeries.
-Provide prenatal care, monitor pregnancies, and assist in childbirth.
-Educate patients on women’s health issues and preventive measures.
-Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
-Engage in clinical research and contribute to the hospital’s academic activities.
Qualifications
-Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
-Valid HPCZ medical license in Zambia.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in Obstetrics/Gynaecology.
-Proficiency in performing obstetrical/gynaecological surgeries.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Commitment to academic and clinical excellence.
-Demonstrated research experience is a plus.
Medical Laboratory Technologist
Job Purpose
-To conduct laboratory tests.
-To operate and maintain sophisticated instruments and equipment used in the division
-To be able to properly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate and shut down such instruments.
Responsibilities
-Conducting various medical tests and analyses with precision.
-Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
-Ensuring compliance with quality control and safety standards.
-Recording and reporting test results accurately.
-Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide patient care.
Qualifications
-A Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
-Valid HPCZ license to practice in Zambia.
-Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
-Attention to detail and accuracy.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pharmacy Technologist
Job Purpose
To work closely with a pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of their patients.
Responsibilities
-Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
-Maintain accurate patient medication records.
-Manage and organize inventory of pharmaceuticals.
-Prepare sterile intravenous medications.
Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and hospital policies.
Qualifications
-Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or an equivalent qualification recognized in Zambia.
-Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia (PSZ).
-Knowledge of local and international pharmacy terminology and medications.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of local languages.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Paediatric Nurses
Job Purpose
-To provide nursing care to sick children.

Job Purpose
To provide treatment and guidance to patients as per the clinical guidelines and protocols adopted by the hospital.
Responsibilities
-Conduct clinical assessments, examinations, and diagnosis of patients.
-Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Medical Team.
-Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient progress.
-Provide patient education on health conditions and treatment options.
-Maintain accurate medical records and reports.
-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine or related field.
-Valid clinical officer license and registration.
-Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures.

Radiology Technologists
Job Purpose
To prepare patients and equipment for radiology procedures, perform the tests, and maintain the equipment.
Responsibilities
-Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
-Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
-Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients’ comfort.
-Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
-Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
-Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients’ records.
-Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment.
-Work closely with our medical staff and healthcare teams.
Qualifications
-Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiology.
-A License to Practice Radiography.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion.
-Good mathematical abilities and technical skills.
-Good organizational, time management, and analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
Nurse in Charge
Job Purpose
Coordinating daily administrative duties, including schedules, nursing assignments and patient care.?
Responsibilities
-Directs, mentors, and schedules staff, including communicating job expectations and providing input to nursing supervisors on staff performance reviews.
-Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff to implement patient care.
-Provides physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families.
-Meets nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements.
-Identifies patient service requirements by establishing a personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
-Maintains nursing guidelines by making sure that their direct reports adhere to staff policies and procedures.
Qualifications
-Master’s Degree in Nursing.
-Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
-3-5 years’ experience as a staff nurse in a clinical setting, prior supervisory experience with added advantage.
-Licensed as a Registered Nurse
-Valid General Nursing Council of Zambia Practicing License.
