One of the reasons some people fear or resist Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiative is the assumptions that it will lead to loss of jobs and render humans useless. But this is totally incorrect. Numerous studies have showed that even with the advancement in automation efforts over the last 100 years, humans have continued to create new jobs and get busier. This will be no exceptions in the world of AI. There will be new problems that only humans can solve; we are still very far from a time when machines will be able to think and solve all problems even with the latest advances in Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL).
The benefits of AI far outweigh the issues of job losses. But for those that have these concerns, AI will actually create some new sets of jobs and you may want to build skills in these areas: Trainers, Explainers and Sustainers. Read on:

6 年I TOTALLY agree with you, in the 80’s and 90’s that was the fear due to the emerging technologies then but today we have more workers using these technologies to carry out their deliverables… so AI wouldn’t depreciate that rather add more value to it.

6 年I shudder when I see people focused on the job loss bit of the AI story. While there would be some distortion in JD's, there would also be a lot of opportunities created that can be taken advantage of. AI does not just lend itself to just? technology, but to all facets of business... and as AI develops, experts from all around the organisation would contribute to building a learning experience and a set of algorithms that would power the next generation of intelligent machines and disrupt the way we work today.

6 年Technicians and Engineers in robotic technology will emerge as in the case of computer technology and it's by products though some jobs will go into extinction.
