Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced?Lead Frontend Developer?with a strong background in?e-commerce platforms?and expertise in?Contentful CMS?to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of high-performing, scalable, and visually engaging user interfaces for our client’s e-commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development: Lead the development of robust, scalable, and efficient web applications using modern frontend frameworks like?React.js,?Next.js, or similar technologies.

Contentful CMS Integration: Implement and optimize integrations with?Contentful?for content management.

E-commerce Expertise: Collaborate closely with design, backend, and product teams to deliver seamless e-commerce experiences.

Architecture and Design: Define and implement best practices in frontend architecture, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and scalability.

Team Collaboration: Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure the team adheres to project timelines and quality standards.

Cross-functional Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Performance Optimization: Ensure web applications are optimized for performance, responsiveness, and accessibility.

Required Skills and Experience

Frontend Technologies: Strong expertise in?React.js,?Next.js,?JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, HTML5, and frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.).

CMS Experience: Hands-on experience with?Contentful CMS?or other similar headless CMS platforms.

E-commerce Platforms: Experience developing and optimizing?e-commerce platforms, including payment integrations and catalog management.

State Management: Proficiency with state management libraries like?Redux?or?Context API.

API Integration: Familiarity with integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

Testing and Debugging: Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme) and debugging tools.

Performance: Proven ability to optimize for web performance and SEO.

Agile Environment: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Leadership: Prior experience leading frontend development teams or projects.
