GITHUB AND SAAS MIGRATION STRONG Experience Mandatory

Seeking 5-8+ years experienced DevOps Engineer/Github Administrator to work on migration from Self-hosted/on-prem Github Enterprise Server (GHES) to GitHub Enterprise cloud/Saas

(GHEC) platform.

Candidate should have experience with multiple migrations to GitHub SaaS from various source code management systems including Github, Gitlab, Perforce, Clear Case etc. with large enterprises. You'll work with our global team of diverse and passionate engineers and project managers to design, build and maintain GitHub's services. Ideal candidate will have a DevOps mindset towards creating reliable, scalable, and innovative solutions for large scale DevOps organizations. Candidate should have experience with Github Action/runners, CI/CD, automation and orchestration with the GitHub API for various integrations.

Qualifications:

• GitHub Admin Experience with large enterprise environment
• Working knowledge with GitHub actions and workflows
• Experience with cloud technology including GCP, Azure and Entra ID (IdP) required
• Custom Development/Scripting experience with Python/JavaScript or other languages and frameworks.
• Experience with Infrastructure/ Network/ Configuration management systems
• Solid Systems Administration experience with Linux based servers
• Experience with log analysis/ monitoring tools like Splunk, Nagios, etc

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serves as execution person on all aspect for migrating data to GitHub including creation of scripts, troubleshooting the post migration escalation and resolve system and/or application issues by interfacing with end users, other IT Engineers, and vendors to resolve issues. Additionally, you may have collects logs, troubleshoot and debugs issues with networks, systems, and/or applications by root cause analyses and escalates issues both internally and externally as needed. Communicates with project leads and stakeholders via email and direct conversation to provide project status updates and information about impending obstacles.
