The plight of the Seeker is one that is truly a cycle of what in time seems like insanity.? There is a constant onslaught of opportunities through job boards, agency automation comms, and through social platforms like LinkedIn.? There are also as I scroll through daily quite a few Talent Acquisition experts at every level, Recruiters, and the “forwarded job opportunities” that you see on occasion.? There is “Quick Apply” that can be executed through many of these as you have your resumes loaded like a Gatlin Gun ready to tailor your response.? When applying you see the number of applicants which recently are no less than 100 ever and many well over 3000! ??The process I have found is much like an onion that as you peel back the layers there is quite a bit to learn from as you travel through the Seeker Cycle!
As I look at the sea of Seekers in a variety of stages of the “cycle” it is very telling of the need for daily insight into what to do and how to take care of yourself.?? The quotes are good, however I mentioned in one of my early articles that I once told one of my managers to stop sending out the “daily quotes” and the reason was he did not apply any of these so it is like saying “do as I say, not as I do” which is not a good practice.? I have seen leaders that tout Servant Leadership that are very self-absorbed and do not practice of which they speak whatsoever!!!? So, with that you will only see quotes that I have championed and through due diligence turned into something that assisted in my path forward.?
There are many things that can help you and like above the stages are real for sure.? I saw a frantic post from a seasoned leader much like myself that stated, IT HAS BEEN OVER 30 DAYS, and not one interview…. Welcome to 2024 and be prepared to enlist some strategic and tactical practices that you will need to get that much sought after first interview!!!!? While I do not regularly do this, I will throw out a company called Pathrise that has a structured plan to assist you on your journey that is both insightful and keeps you engaged which is cool, there is however a cost that is offset to your hire date with some caveats.?

As I regretfully welcome five of my past colleagues to the Job Seeker way of life, I once again remind all that a new reality can be born out of what you thought was disparity.? The continual learning with your spare time is key and from my perspective I avoid the news touting bout the great economy, the low unemployment rates, and just the general negativity that divides everyone…. My choice but keeps my mind positive and I can read the ONION if I want news that makes me laugh!!!!
