Job Seeker Roadmap - Bay of Pigs to River of SOWs

Interesting facts around independent consulting is that there is an independence associated with the schedule.? That schedule independence has two sides as there is little forecasting that I had in the “Accenture” days so the second component is the unknown!?

My week typically starts with three to four hours of booked hours on Monday to the midpoint Hump day or Wingsday of a few more to Thursday and Friday being the “frantic, can you help us out” mode which is NICE!!!?

Now that I have an Advisory consulting and Service/Culture consulting offering the ever-present SOW stream is a nice aspect of my current reality.? The majority revolve around my sweet spot of expertise but you have some that are looking to either “sell” you something or have you sell something.? I am the quintessential salesperson so do not threaten me with a sales role with direction on a great product!!!? I am a natural.

I always swing back to the Job Seeker aspect to let you all know that opportunity abounds.? Do not discount your knowledge and expertise as there are outlets that pay top dollar for your input (Direct Message me for the platforms that pay and I will send them).? I passively entertained these options at $250-$400 an hour which has created my core business with a side business of my core offering!!

So, as a Seeker the Seemingly Bay of Pigs associated with losing your job can turn into a River of SOWs with your overall knowledge through several outlets which can offer you a light at the end of the tunnel that is not a TRAIN!? Expand what you see as your current reality.? FYI, I am a true helper and advisor to the Seekers and unlike the onslaught of resume optimizers which I do think have a purpose I do not wish nor do I intend to sell you anything other than just FREE advice through my articles.?

I have been there and through my journey fell into this reality of still Seeking and Consulting and building a creative Beach Window Business.? The universe has so many options and mine were all free by pursuing my JOBBY (hobby which I turned into a side job).? I am by no means alluding to the fact that you should not focus on the Seeking process full steam but I am suggesting to look around at things you like to do which may be able to make you money which is a good way to pass the time you now have.? My focus on gratitude for what I had and my gift of gab turned into a great side hustle of sorts coupled with my window business makes life fun and maybe this is what I was meant to do!?

Success has many faces and the one true thing that I learned early on is never chase money, do what you love and the money will in time present itself.? The new spin on this is it really is not about money at all at this point while it is needed for sure.? I have also experienced the “you don’t always get what you want, you get what you need” (provided by universe, God, or whatever your source)…… which is comforting to realize.??

The plan is as always, keep moving forward, stay positive, and maximize the time with family, friends, and your newfound JOBBY (hobby which leads to a side job).
