"Fortune favors the prepared mind." --- Louis Pasteur
So, you are in a job search. How is it going so far? It might be that you need to change the way you are thinking about the entire job search process itself. That said, you need someone to inspire you during your job search journey. Here is a question: What book are you reading and/ or what podcast are you listening to? It is time to start the daily habit of 15 to 20 minutes of reading or audiobook/ podcast listening.
According to Google (28 August, 2023), when we read books, we can not only improve our vocabulary and communication skills, but also our writing skills. I would also like to add that reading books or listening to audiobooks and/ or podcasts allows us to set a positive tone for our day, which is an important step when we are in an active job search.
"Books have the power to improve your vocabulary by introducing you to new words. The more you read, the more your vocabulary grows, along with your ability to effectively communicate. Additionally, reading improves writing skills by helping the reader understand and learn different writing styles." -- Google, (28 August, 2023).
Here is a list of book & podcast recommendations to choose from for some inspiration and focus. Or, choose another one... The bottomline is that you choose a book or podcast that inspires you. Then, set the goal of a daily habit to read or listen to for 15 to 30 minutes every morning before you start working on your job search strategies for the next 28 days and see what happens. Better yet, send me a DM and tell me what happened. I look forward to hearing from you. You've got this!
