Job Search - A Mighty Challenge

I help people find the job they want. Best Resume. Enhanced Interview skills. Power-up Job Searches. Networking for jobs..................................... Mr Job Tracker ( the book) available at Amazon Books.
Most job searches take a while to complete and there are many frustrations along the way. Dealing with those frustrations and making daily progress is hard.
It's harder than a marathon!!! Because with a marathon, you know where the finish line is. You know it's 42 kms away. You also can predict your arrival time. With the job search you don't quite know where you'll end up and you don't know how long it will take. With a job search you have 1 simple objective - secure a good job. But considering the uncertain nature of that objective, it’s easy to become disheartened and frustrated about progress. A very effective way to manage this is to break that big objective down into smaller steps. If you have the right steps in place, there are many advantages to this approach.
Advantages of Breaking Down Big Goals into Smaller Steps.
1. Increased Clarity:? Creating? a clear roadmap to achieve the????? larger goal and keeps you moving forward.
2. Reduced Overwhelm: Focusing on one step at a time makes process more manageable and less overwhelming.
3. Increased Motivation: Getting feedback on the smaller (more tangible) steps provides a sense of accomplishment each day and enhances motivation.
4. Enables Better Planning: Smaller steps help you to identify needed resources, time required, and potential roadblocks. Here are some smaller steps along the job search road:
?? A completed resume.
?? Application letters ready to go.
?? A completed LinkedIn profile.
?? Adjustments to LinkedIn settings.
?? A profile created on other relevant websites.
?? Job Alerts on LinkedIn and other relevant websites.

?? A daily routine allocated to job search in the visible market.
?? Daily or weekly time allocation to your networking objectives, (the hidden market).
?? A defined approach to establishing relationships with Recruitment Consultants.
?? Posting on LinkedIn or elsewhere on the Internet.
?? Completed interview preparation.
?? Time allocated on a regular basis for interview practice.
?
That’s all for now? ….? Have a great week.
