Step 1
I have started a LinkedIn Audio Event series that gives tips to job seekers. You may want to join the next one as people really seem to love them. I give rapid-fire tips for you to write down and use as you see fit. I don't waste any time as I go one by one by one to give you as much help as I can in the session. Check out my next one by joining my LinkedIn job search group located at https://www.dhirubhai.net/groups/6691390/ and signing up for it. More information on my group is given below as it has many benefits. Believe me, these sessions are not time wasted, but you better bring two pens in case the first one runs out of ink. I repeat tips sometimes, but so what? It just reinforces them to you and you feel more comfortable using them. Check out the group and the event.
Step 2
Before you get into this list, go to my LinkedIn feed and watch the videos I created. It will teach you my style and show you what I find to be important in this process. I have recently started doing these as a quick value add and it is a great preparation for the rest of this article. Check my profile feed and you will see them. I am making new ones frequently so check them out. Remember, I am not a professional job seeker coach. I am only a guy trying to help you get your next great opportunity. I want you to succeed and not feel the pain that I felt. I am here to support you and please spread the word. After you have checked at least some of the videos, they move on down the list.
Step 3
After going though these steps and the rest of the article, please like and comment so that others will realize that the information is useful and helpful and will check it out. Then please spread the word and have anyone that emails me tell me that you sent them. That way I know the word is spreading. Lets all help each other out here. I KNOW, something here will help you. Not sure what but something will.?Good Luck and please read this slowly and follow all the steps for best results.
Step 4
Join my LinkedIn Group called Anthony Job Search and Career Help Now. It is located at https://www.dhirubhai.net/groups/6691390/ , Go through the group’s membership to find the recruiters and then contact them. The posts that I put up come directly from LinkedIn to me because I do so much for job seekers. In the past, LinkedIn has taken my PowerPoints and sent them to people who joined their Premium Career Group which is a private job search group that only paying LinkedIn members get access to. That said, my group has thousands of people so it will take time for you to go through it a connect to people that are pertinent to your needs but believe me, the time spent will be worth it and help your job search while expanding your network. Tell EVERYONE that you reach out to within the group that I sent you for faster response and when you submit your resume to any of them, please tell them that I sent you. The people in the group and listed below are all resources that I have found to be very helpful and useful for you to get your search moving. Remember, all recruiters have friends and contacts and they pass resumes around so check them out!
Step 5
Become a patron to my Podbean.com podcast called “Anthony Hines Job Search and Career Help RIGHT NOW” - https://patron.podbean.com/Ahines1 . For just $1.99 monthly you get access to over 450 podcasts for jobseekers and those looking to advance their career at their current job. That's hours and hours of job search help and guidance that is constantly updated with weekly summaries of my LinkedIn Audio Events noted above and other podcast episodes as they become available. This is a tremendous value and will help you get your job search moving quickly. You can also become a follower and be able to listen to some free job search podcasts. Check out my message and my style. They are available for jobseekers - https://ahines00001.podbean.com – The podcasts Ido are my primary tips and tools for anyone who is looking for a job OUTSIDE of the United States. My tips are universal. My podcasts are great for people in the United States as well. Beware that many of the recruiters mentioned can help only USA candidates. The international jobseeker can still gain much knowledge from the podcasts. For anyone who signs up, there will be more podcasts that you will be notified of as a follower or patron. They are all based on my own experience. Each podcast has a ton of passion and emotion because I really care if you are successful. I must be doing something right as I have thousands of followers with more coming every day. Please come check them out today. My podcasts are also available on Spotify and various apps on the Google Play store as well. Just search under podcasts for the “Anthony Hines Job Search and Career Help Now” podcasts. Believe me, there is a ton of great info here to give you the edge so why not use it?
Step 6
Get a free resume tip sheet by emailing [email protected] and asking for it. For a fee, you can get your resume rewritten to get yourself a better chance to be noticed. Don't delay. It is an important thing to do. You have no shot to get a great job without a great resume, so do it now, while you are thinking about it. Please tell him I sent you.
Step 7
Follow me on Twitter - https://twitter.com/Anthony_V_Hines . I tweet links to articles that I come across or others that are sent to me that reference job search and career. Why not gain access to this stream of info right now?
Step 8
If you want many job openings emailed to you daily, just email [email protected] and he will add you to his list. He sends multiple emails every day from various industries. Just use the info you need and pass on the other jobs. Tons and tons and tons of jobs which you may never see if you don’t get on his list. Why wouldn’t you want access to this? Tell him I sent you.
Step 9
If you are an IT professional, send your resume to Sarah Eigenbrode at TEKsystems. She has many jobs in many places and may be able to place you quickly. You want to send information about yourself to [email protected] and tell her that I sent you. That said, be aware that she will contact you ONLY if she has a match. If she does NOT have a match, she will NOT contact you. Remember, when you send your resume, please say Anthony Hines has sent you.
Step 10
If you can afford it, join LinkedIn Premium Career because you will get jobs emailed to you that match your LinkedIn profile career wants. Plus, these jobs are fresh. It is always important to apply early in a job posting as people may not go through every application but they will go through early ones. Editor notes LinkedIn is not cheap, but if you can swing it, it is a worthwhile investment to make in your future. I think you can also write some of it off on your taxes. Be sure to check with your tax person. Keep your receipt! Regular old free LinkedIn is good if you’re not actively looking for a job, but if you are, I think the Premium Career is more than nice to have. I believe it is essential for job hunters. Why do I think this? 1 - Premium Career shows you everyone who has viewed your profile for the last 90 days. Much of this critical information is hidden behind a paywall in the free version. In the free version, you can see only the last 10 people. Suppose a recruiter sees your profile and wants to contact you but gets distracted by an urgent call and forgets to email you? And suppose this recruiter is the 11 th person? You may never know! But with the Premium Plan, when a recruiter comes to visit and you pay attention to your profile views, you will see this and be able to contact them and connect. “Hi, I see you viewed my profile and I would love to connect with you.”
2 - Premium Career allows you to message people with whom you are not connected yet. The regular old free version restricts this. This too is a godsend for job seekers and helps make this version pay for itself.
Step 11

www.gablessearch.com They place just about any profession. Contact him and see what he has. When you send your resume, please say that Anthony Hines has sent you. Editor’s note: I emailed Michael and he was responsive. Do what he asks you to do to get listed in his database.
Step 14

Editor’s Notes: I emailed Debbie Woods but I don’t think she had anything for me –
Step 15
Contact Brenda McCrary - [email protected] – Tech USA. She hires for
Manufacturing (Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Skilled Trades), IT, and
Construction.?She handles accounts in Professional, Technical and Skilled Trades.?She does not work with entry-level construction or unskilled manufacturing.
Editor’s Notes: I emailed Brenda and sent my resume at her request, but I haven’t heard back. I don’t think she had anything for me
Step 16
Contact Cozette Williams - DFW Texas Staffing - [email protected] . She will let you know what positions she currently is hiring for and where they are located. Please tell her that Anthony Hines sent you.
Editor’s Notes: I did contact Cozette Williams but did not get a response. She could be busy or perhaps she didn’t have anything for me
Step 17
According to a 2015 survey conducted by the Society of Human Resource Management, only 40% of employees are “Very Satisfied” with their current job. You may not only be fed up with your job search, but the prospect of landing a job may not be appealing to you. You might be FRED, someone who’s Frustrated, Retired (but not ready to hang it up), Entrepreneurial or Downsized. If so, self-employment might be something worthwhile considering. An advisor can explain options for starting or acquiring a business or franchise and how you may be able to finance one through a government-backed Small Business Administration loan. Steve Miller is such an advisor who has more than 25 years of experience of being self-employed. You can have your questions answered at no cost or obligation by contacting him via LinkedIn at
www.dhirubhai.net/in/stevemiller7 or by email at [email protected] . When you contact him, please tell him that Anthony Hines sent you. Editor’s note: I spoke with Steve Miller personally and his advice felt spot-on for me. I urge you to email him and book a call. He won’t try to sell you anything. He listens to you tell him what you want and gives you FREE advice.
Step 18

Step 23
Provide feedback to me through a LinkedIn profile message. I am always looking for ways to improve things. I would love to know when you do get that next opportunity and if my tips have helped you. Looking forward to your messages as I truly want you to succeed.
Step 24

Step 25
Read my Job Search and Career Presentations on Slideshare.net -
https://www.slideshare.net/Ahines1/job-search-survival-kit-take-charge-of-your-job- search-right-now-this-second-107907233
Check the site for more PowerPoints under this name “Job Search Survival Kit Job
Search And LinkedIn Tips.” Read each PowerPoint within that list and use what you can. I created these PowerPoints over time and they have been read by thousands of people. Look at all the titles and see which ones are useful to you and check them out. I have spent lots of hours creating these so they should help you. They are awesome.
Editor’s note: SlideShare.net used to be free, but now has a paywall. You may use the site free of charge for 30 days, but you still need to fork over you credit card number. Be careful here, because canceling a subscription is NOT easy and you get re-routed to Scribd.com to do it.
Step 26
Check out my documents here - https://www.scribd.com/anthony_hines_5 - to get your job search moving if you need help. These documents have also been sent or viewed by thousands of people around the world.
Editor’s note: I grabbed these myself. Going through them.
Step 27
You can also purchase my eBook, “Take Charge Of Your Job Search Right Now This Second: Getting The Upper Advantage No Matter The Odds,” on Amazon here - https://lnkd.in/e85PzKq
Editor’s note: I purchased the book myself. It is a great resource.
Step 28
Here are three general tips for you to keep in mind:
? Always have confidence in your own skills. If you don’t, who will?
? In every interview, tell the person how you will bring value to the position you are applying for.
? Make sure you are always positive and enthusiastic in every communication. No one wants someone who is negative and needs to be motivated. Who wants to be around negativity? And no one has the time or energy to motivate you.
Step 29

More about me -
I am a hardworking guy who, like many others, found himself out of work during the economic downturn in 2010. After a long battle of wrong turns, job search strategies that led to nowhere, and dead-end leads, I decided to take a more strategic approach to my job search.?I needed to treat my search like a full-time job and create a plan that would allow me to stand out above the competition.?This came in especially handy as I was out of workagain in 2017.?Basically, I just used the tips that I have shared with others and was jobless a total of ZERO days. Yes, I got a job offer the day after my last day at my previous job. I am showing you here how I did it, so you can have a quicker landing than you would have had without my tips.
Why I’m Sharing What Helped Me -
I realized that to handle an event like being let go is to focus on what you can control and share the experience to help others. I believe that an experience not shared is a lost opportunity in life. Smart people learn from their mistakes and smarter people learn from other people’s experiences. Plus, I told myself that once I figured this out, I would share it with others so that they, too, could navigate the world of unemployment. In these tips, I show you how I did it so that you will have the confidence to make it through the process.
Why My Career Advice is Useful -
I have had a long career and want to share my experience with as many people as possible to help others. I have worked for some fantastic managers as well as some not-so-fantastic managers, so I have had to navigate many different mindsets, priorities and office politics to succeed. I give you completely unfiltered advice based on someone who has lived it. Most importantly, it is from the heart and.
Finally, I wanted to say I really hope that you decide to become a subscriber on podbean.com . Check out my free job search podcasts. If you like them, I hope that subscribe and get access to all of my many career podcasts as the information provided is unique and invaluable. You can become a patron by going to https://patron.podbean.com/Ahines1 . Believe me, you won’t get this type of basic and useful advice anywhere else. Come check them out today and see for yourself.?
I am always glad to help. Please let me know if any of the above step links are not available for some reason as I assume all the links work. Please comment, like, and spread the word about this article because I KNOW something here will help you. Not sure what, but something will.
