We all try to create them and we all come in with our own expectations of what they should look like.
We assume that the person we are connecting with will do the same things we do, because it is how we do things.
We also assume that the other person knows what we're thinking, because everyone is a mind reader.
Well I hate to break it to you, but very few people (if any) think exactly like you do.
No one that I know is a mind reader, so you will most likely need to inform the other person how you do things and how you expect them to do things.
We all get so angry at the other person for not knowing what we want and how we like things done, but we have to take a step back and ask ourselves if we ever told that person those things.
Relationships are never easy and they are a growing product.
They need to be constantly evaluated and nurtured.
You will need to be humble, adaptable, flexible and communicative.
Just like relationships with family and friends, relationships in business are very similar.
A business relationship needs communication, honesty, trust and constant maintenance.
If you wouldn't have a relationship with an abusive person in your family, friends or partner, then don't have one with a business relationship.
Think of these partnerships like how you want relationships in your personal life.
All of these relationships should be held to the same standards.
