Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled System Administrator (L2) with expertise in KVM, LVM, and OVM Virtualization to manage, support, and optimize our virtualized environments.
This role requires a candidate who can effectively troubleshoot, administer, and manage Linux and virtualization technologies in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment.
Key Responsibilities:
KVM Management: Set up, configure, and maintain KVM virtual machines, networks, and storage configurations.
LVM Administration: Manage Logical Volume Manager (LVM) for efficient disk management, including provisioning, resizing, and configuring storage volumes.
OVM Virtualization: Administer Oracle Virtual Machine (OVM) environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtualized infrastructure.
System Administration: Provide L2 support for Linux-based servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.), including user management, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Backup & Recovery: Implement backup solutions, perform system backups, and support disaster recovery efforts.
Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, optimize resources, and implement necessary improvements.
Security Management:
Configure firewalls, security patches, and ensure compliance with security best practices.
Automation & Scripting: Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
Collaboration: Work closely with senior system administrators, network engineers, and other teams to ensure system availability and efficiency.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for virtual machine configurations, network setups, and system performance logs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 5-8 years of hands-on experience in system administration, with a focus on virtualization technologies like KVM, LVM, and Oracle Virtual Machine (OVM).
Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and experience with different distributions.
Virtualization:
KVM: Proficient in managing KVM-based virtual machines, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
LVM: Deep understanding and practical experience in managing Logical Volume Manager (LVM) for storage management.
OVM: Hands-on experience in configuring and managing Oracle Virtual Machine (OVM) for virtualized infrastructures.
Networking: Understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network routing.
Scripting: Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) for automation and task scheduling.
Troubleshooting: Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve system and virtualization issues.
Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or similar for server and network monitoring.
Security: Knowledge of system security best practices, patch management, and user access control.
Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) would be an added advantage.
