Job Opportunity: Workstation Support Specialist-Lead in Seattle, WA!

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Information Technology Division (ITD) is currently seeking a Workstation Support Specialist. This workstation support position supports the Washington State Ferries (WSF) and reports to the Workstation support Supervisor who reports to the WSF Operations Manager who reports to the IT Assistant Director. Washington State Ferries (WSF) Information Technology Department functions as the central support department for all technology-related equipment, software, and systems for approximately 1,800 employees working for WSF. This includes 20 terminals and 22 vessels spanning seven counties, two countries, three major WSF facilities, and four commercial shipyards. Specifically, Ferries ITD is responsible for the management of (end-user computing devices, workstations, tablets, servers, storage, data networks, cloud resources, point-of-sale devices, printers, mobile devices, telecommunications systems, cell phones, copiers, etc.), administration of services (WSF IT Service Desk, training/education, procurement, regional CAE service and support, and solving technology related problems), WSF specific applications (ticketing, reservations, employee dispatch, etc.), and maintaining the working condition of all physical security equipment. These responsibilities are critical so that WSF staff can complete their assigned work activities and keep WSF facilities operating safely and securely. This position also provides workstation support for any other WSDOT employees with a duty station at a WSF facility or assisting other WSDOT employees who reside in close proximity to our 2901 facility. This includes Seattle’s 2901 facility in Belltown that provides space for multiple WSDOT teams.
