Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Technician 3 to join the Traffic Management Center (TMC) team out of Tacoma, WA! Under the direction of the TMC Supervisor, this position is required to perform advanced traffic management activities and analysis in the Olympic Region (OR) TMC. Decisions made by this position affect the safety and flow of traffic on the freeway and the adjacent arterial systems. This role supports the agency’s mission by operating the regions Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). This system includes devices and facilities such as ramp meters, dynamic message signs, highway advisory radio, and in-house software to optimize traffic flow in a safe and efficient manner.
