Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an exciting opportunity for an enterprising transportation planner who has strong analytical and communication skills and a passion for multimodal transportation solutions. The Senior Regional Planner has direct accountability for leading, developing, and delivering programs and services related to transportation planning activities for the Department in the North Central Region. This includes leading the region in development and implementation of WSDOT's positions and implementation in areas such as system and corridor planning, local and regional planning, regional Tribal coordination, transportation modeling and special transportation studies and integration of WSDOT programs, policies, initiatives and plans in local Comprehensive Plans Employee is expected to consider personal, co-worker, and public safety as the first and foremost objective during the planning and performance of all activities in connection with work assignments.
