The client

A medium sized civil engineering contractor and Groundworks contractor with a strong North West presence are currently looking for a Senior Estimator.

The role

You will be office based in an office in Liverpool. You will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions. All applicants will have experience pricing a wide range of projects including some (but not all)

Civil Engineering,

Groundworks

Paving /surfacing / Roads /

Drainage

Structures / Storm water management / Earth moving / Ducting /Foundations / Substructure walls / Precast and in-situ concrete ground floors

Duties·

? Manage all aspects of estimating and tendering for Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects, primarily in Housing/Commercial and Industrial sectors.

? Oversee projects from tender stage to completion and final accounts.

? Develop the estimate at a level of detail appropriate to the size and complexity of the project.

? Identify potential cost risks.

? Source supplier and sub-contractor quotations.

? To liaise and maintain a good working relationship with Clients, Surveyors, Project Managers and attend pre-contract meetings when needed.

Candidate essentials

Experience estimating civil engineering and groundworks projects from first principles

The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.

You must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with key persons.

Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities

Thorough and reliable

Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure

Qualifications (desirable)

HND / HNC

Quantity Surveying degree or BSc/BA in Engineering, Commercial Management or Construction

Salary and Package

￡60,000 - ￡70,000 (depending on level and experience)

Office based in Liverpool One day working from home
