Job Description

This role is accountable to develop and deliver franchise archetype and detailed engineering

deliverables per GWDP in SMEP and within Integrated Gas Line of Business (LoB), without

compromising health, safety and environmental standards and in accordance with Statutory

Regulations and Company Policies.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver detailed engineering deliverables per GWDP for the assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with Global Engineering Houses on Franchise model, including co-development and maintenance of Franchise Work Packages (FWP), Engineering & Operational Standard Practices (SP), and Standard Section Programs.
  • Maintain relationship with Franchise and Operations team to promote application / standardization in Engineering & Operational Standard Practices and feedback loop into Franchise model.
  • Provide technical input to MSC with MSC for supplier strategies (quilt), management and interfacing, including leading new / refreshed tenders.
  • Actively engage with operations teams to ensure learning and continuous improvement based on relevant execution experience, after action reviews (AAR) documentation and well production performance.
  • Support NPT investigations and hypercare support as requested and responsible for supporting embedment of all corrective actions related to standard work.
  • Engage with Materials Office to ensure relevant FWP’s are embedded within the Franchise Way of Working.
  • Understanding of local laws and regulations for procedure/equipment/service and supply chain strategies
  • Coaching junior staff in all aspects of well engineering/completions design and operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar study, from an accredited university.
  • Shell Round 2 Certificate or Round 2 Diploma is preferred.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in Well Engineering and Operations with a proven track record in Deepwater and Shallow water, Carbonate, HPHT, sour gas well design, planning and Execution delivery.
  • Recent depleted and carbonate drilling experience, through application of borehole strengthening, MPD and PMCD is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries to effectively implement new ways of working, both within Wells and across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Sound understanding of the Global Well Delivery Process (GWDP) and the Discipline Control Assurance Process (DCAF) and improvement plans and implementation of new technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder integration and influencing skills. Proven ability to build relationships effectively.
