Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a security professional to fill the Security Manager vacancy located in Olympia, WA. The Security Manager is a subject matter expert for physical security and security technology, exercising delegated authority on behalf of the Emergency and Security Manager. Through effective management, the Security Manager delivers a best-in-class physical security program for WSDOT, which includes more than 7,000 employees. In this role you will, direct agency employees and resources as necessary, establish a deep understanding of agency Regions and Divisions, build strong professional relationships to effectively develop and implement a meaningful Security Management Program. The diversity of WSDOT business and its personnel requires creativity and strategic thinking to develop and implement sound and actionable Security Management programs. The Security Manager must establish and demonstrate the highest level of technical expertise and exceptional leadership skills, as the position regularly engages with agency executive leadership as well as Regions and Divisions.
