Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Property & Acquisition Specialist 4 (PAS4) to support and contribute to the agency’s mission and vision, strategic plan, goals, and priorities by the appraisal of the wide variety of property rights needed to deliver transportation projects. The work product is used to determine feasibility, establish budgets, and acquire and dispose of property in connection with agency transportation projects which allows the department to complete its mission. Under limited supervision, this position completes all types of property valuation assignments in compliance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) rules and regulations. The PAS4 will apply independent judgment and advanced technical knowledge to appraise property rights needed for projects, which includes total fee, partial acquisitions, permanent and temporary easements, surplus properties, and review owner’s appraisals.
