Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to fill the Transportation Engineer 3 vacancy within the Pavement Office located in Tumwater, WA. This position will support the construction program by providing practical, cost-effective, and timely pavement designs and related tasks necessary for project delivery. In this role, you will ?provide the review necessary to ensure adherence to statewide pavement policy and provides the analysis necessary to review and recommend approval or disapproval for overweight vehicle movements on state highways. The Pavement Design Engineer will coordinate with project design teams and prepare pavement design studies for new construction and rehabilitation projects using WSDOT standard practices and software, as well as review pavement design reports prepared by the Region Materials Offices. Our top candidate must be an exceptional communicator as this position will provide technical information and support for Federal, State, Local Agency, Contractor, and academia as it relates to pavement design and construction.
