Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking to fill a Transportation Engineer 3 (TE3) vacancy located in Spokane, WA. This position will support the delivery of the Rail, Freight and Ports Division Connecting Washington, Move Ahead Washington capital program for the Palouse River and Coulee City Rail System (PCC). The individual in this role will provide guidance and direction with all engineers within the office for construction, design, and Plans, Specials and Engineering Estimate (PS&E) phases of WSDOT projects. These activities are critical to project completion in all phases. This position is critical to the success of safety in our organization as this is one where an employee is exposed to potentially dangerous environments that involve construction activities. Our top candidate must understand the Results WSDOT Vision, Mission, Values, and Goals. Support the Rail, Freight, and Ports Division in all capital delivery. In addition, the successful candidate must also understand the importance of safety with people, vehicles, and equipment both in design and construction projects. Initiate and participate in the development of Pre-Activity Safety Plans and Work-site Safety Reviews.
