ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of IT, the Network & Cloud Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of the corporate network, system and telecommunication infrastructure. This position participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the network & System infrastructure in Malaysia offices as well as regional offices in the Middle East and Africa.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:?

Maintain the system & network best practices across the group. Active participation in projects, ensure service continuity & best practices. Implement & maintain servers, firewall, switch, router, IP Phones, Storage system, Data Center & Internet service.?

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Design, plan, install, configure, and maintain network services, network infrastructure equipment, servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
2. Install, manage, and troubleshoot Windows based servers including Domain Controllers, Virtual Servers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, etc.
3. Solid experience in configuring, administrating, testing, and maintaining Enterprise Network solutions. Special focus on routing & switching: LAN / WAN infrastructure, high availability, disaster recovery, WAN optimization.
4. Solid experience of data communication principles and protocol (TCP/IP), IP telephony, Solid experience in Fortinet networking solutions.
5. Perform and review basic & detailed network engineering designs.?
6. Evaluate new suppliers, hardware, systems, and technologies with the superior, as part of the improvement plan, complying with ICT purchasing policies.
7. Recommend infrastructure capacity planning using appropriate tools and recommend technical upgrades according to the standards set by ICT Shared Services.
8. Provide support to end users.
9. Maintain accurate and up to date IT assets data.
10. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.? Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
11. Oversee and maintain Network security. Ensuring data, applications and systems are safe and secure.
12. Configure and manage Network routers, firewalls, switches, wireless device.
13. Network device OS upgrade & patch management.
14. Provide support and secure remote access for regional offices to access business applications.
15. Maintain Storage equipment and backups for all systems, applications, PCs and laptops.
16. Design, manage and test disaster recovery plans for the Network infrastructure.?

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

1. Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant working experience supporting for cloud & network infrastructure.
2. Possess knowledge and hands-on experience in firewall, switches, cloud & networking.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Proven experience working as a Network Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
