Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking three Transportation Engineer 2s to join the Port Orchard Project Engineer Office (PEO). This role supports the agency’s mission by ensuring highway construction projects are designed and built in compliance with standard specifications, contract specifications and contract plans. This is accomplished by preparing plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and other documents that will be used to improve the safety, quality, and capacity of State’s transportation system. This position supports the department’s mission by inspecting highway contract work, processing, and reviewing submittals for compliance with the above documents, keeping accurate, complete, and detailed accounting records, and ensuring accurate and timely payment for work completed.
