Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a self-motivated individual to serve as a Transportation Technician 3 (TT3), in our Project Engineering Office in Olympia, WA. The incumbent will perform skilled technical work in support of engineering projects. The TT3 will provide essential support in monitoring contractor's activities during construction and ensuring the project is constructed in accordance with Contract Plans and Specifications. This individual will perform materials sampling, testing, acceptance procedures and assists the project inspectors in performing daily inspection of work performed.?

In this role, you will perform skilled journey-level work in support of the Olympia Region (OR) Quality Assurance program by testing and sampling construction materials used on WSDOT projects. This position is vital to ensuring that testing, sampling, and documentation of construction materials is accomplished efficiently and accurately while aligning with applicable rules and policies. Our top candidate has a background in construction or is an engineering technician who has exceptional aptitude for attention to detail.
