Job Opportunity at the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication

The Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, is searching for an innovative and dedicated professional to serve as Program Director for the Backpack Student Agency and a teaching role in strategic communication. This unique position offers the chance to shape the future of communication professionals through experiential learning and classroom instruction. Starting on August 1, 2024, this full-time, annually renewable position promises to be a rewarding endeavor for the right candidate.

About the Role:

As the Program Director, you'll be at the forefront of developing future leaders in strategic communication. You'll lead the Backpack agency, ensuring high-quality creative solutions for clients and fostering a supportive, professional environment for student workers. Additionally, you'll teach three strategic communication courses annually, engage in curriculum development and provide invaluable industry insights to your students.

Who Should Apply:

Candidates with an advanced degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of experience are encouraged to apply. We're seeking someone with demonstrated expertise in strategic communication training or teaching and a passion for fostering diverse and inclusive learning environments.
