The client
My client are a medium sized civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in the Manchester area. Typical projects for this contractor consist of groundwork projects, remediation and general civil engineering projects.
This is an split office and site based role. The office is in Greater Manchester and the sites are in the North West area (Manchester / Lancashire and Liverpool) areas.
Candidate essential skills
? Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills.
? A team player with a positive attitude, outgoing, assertive, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
Duties
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Undertaking costs analysis
Work autonomously. With little supervision
Procurement
Agreement of the valuation of variations
Checking of sub-contractors interim and final account applications and preparation of associated payments
Payments
Cost value reconciliations
Monthly reporting
Assisting in establishing a clients requirements
Performing risk and value management and cost control
Advising on procurement strategy
Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
Rates
￡350 - ￡410 per day
