Fibre Splicer and Cabler

Area: South Wales Region

Type: Self Employed / Sub-Contractor – Day Rate

In line with continued business growth, we are looking for additional engineers to join the Field Engineering team.

We have an opportunity for an experienced engineer in a mixed and varied role within the fibre network. The role will consist of fault finding, cabling, splice & testing activities ensuring a scheduled programme of work is delivered on time, to budget in a safe, quality manner across all products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation and IOLM testing of all fibre cabling work and equipment.
• Fault finding and problem solving.
• Complete and submit all necessary documentation.
• Manage day-to-day issues and problems.
• Providing “Live” updates and progress reports.

Required Experience & Skills

• A proven track record of working as a splicer within the Telecoms Industry or other similar utilities.
• N23 Accredited (Or equivalent).
• Experience in Fibre Cabling and Splicing.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and NRSWA requirements.
• Proficient in ICT.?
• Able to meet strict quality standards.
• Awareness of Customer Satisfaction for both internal and external sources.
• Self-Motivated.
• Able to work out of hours / weekends when required is essential.
• Able to work alone or part of a team.
• A strong technical background across multiple disciplines
• Ability to read and accurately interpret client network schematics.
• Passion and commitment to see a task through.
• Attention to detail.
• Target driven.
• Valid UK Driving License (Longer than 12mths).
