Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an exciting opportunity for highly experienced Assistant Engineer in our North Central Region. This position oversees and administers the Project Engineering Offices, Environmental, Materials, and Survey programs. The objective of these programs is to support Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations in enhancing the efficiency and safety of the highway system in North Central Region.

Assists the ARA in managing and directing the progress of organizational managers in transportation system design, construction, training, budget management, workforce, and program building. Reviews and approves expenditure documents. Provides guidance to managers on various engineering principles, processes and procedures including but not limited to design standards, construction methods, engineering equipment, materials testing, environmental permits, and surveying. Provides technical assistance to other region organizations (Maintenance, Traffic Design, and Operations).
