A typical day at BeResponsive:
There’s no such thing as a typical workday here at BeResponsive. We plan your projects and guide you, but it’ll be up to you to juggle urgent tasks that pop up like:
- Dealing with client panic if issues arise with their website or email
- Performing software and plugin updates AND being prepared to deal with the potential chaos these updates can inflict on a beautiful custom website
- Solving problems with website functionality on a specific web browser.
- Doing data pulls from WordPress and helping clients make meaning out of said data.
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
- Fast-paced and ever-changing demands
- High-pressure work environment and sometimes unreasonable deadlines (because every client needs it done right now—and we’re always here for our clients)
- Compulsory and slightly obsessive attention to detail (alignment, spacing and following the design provided matter)
- Sitting in front of a computer most of the day
Personal suitability:
- Initiative – You want to be a part of a collaborative team that helps our clients be successful.
- Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills – You can explain complicated things in real-life language without losing your mind or your sense of humour.

- Organized – We can see the top of your desk and easily find your files in Dropbox.
To land this gig:
- Cover Letter: You need to convince us that you resonate with our work ethic and values, and demonstrate that you will add value to our team. Show us you’ve built websites and managed development projects, or explain why you can do what we need even if you haven’t done it before.
- Résumé: Send us your résumé and make sure it stands out from the boring résumés some of your competitors will be sending.
- Portfolio: Provide us with a portfolio (preferably a digital one) to look through, so we can discover the awesomeness you’ve built in the past year.
