Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to support the overall mission of the agency in serving as the Olympic Region’s Contract Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) specialist. This role provides specialist support in the review of comprehensive plans, and provides extensive specialist support and quality assurance to region project offices and the Design and Construction office design teams during all phases of design and (PS&E) development for a variety of simple and complex Olympic Region transportation projects that build and maintain our transportation infrastructure. This position also serves as the Olympic Region’s expert resource on roadside compliance in design. The Transportation Engineering 3 provides direction to project teams to ensure design documentation and plans are completed in accordance with WSDOT and industry standards. This position is critical in fostering an inclusive and healthy work environment and communicating feedback and direction in a respectful and professional manner.
