Thanks to everyone for the many job opportunities that people are posting.? You’ll see over 150 again in this week’s letter.? I realize there are now 1,000s of you who were laid off, not to mention those entering the job market from academic programs.?
As a science and technology community, we should have a goal of getting everyone who was laid off by the Trump Administration a high-quality, well-paid, family-friendly job where they can still reach their career goal of benefiting society. . . just from a different window of opportunity.
Per a reader request, we are trying an experiment this week, which is to provide a link to a PDF of this newsletter to make it easier to read. Please let us know if this works for you.
Here’s this week’s Dear Debbie question.
Question of the Week
Dear Debbie,
I’m one of the many people laid off by the Trump Administration.? What actions should I take to improve my LinkedIn presence?
Waiting in the Wings
___________
Dear Waiting,
This is a great question.? For those in the public policy world, LinkedIn is the first place people typically look to get a better understanding of who you are and consider you for a position.? Here are my top three tips based on what I see.
Hope this helps, Waiting in the Wings.? We’re all out there supporting you!
Debbie
