Job Opening: The Toughest Job in the World

Job Description:

Seeking a committed, self-motivated, and agile team player for a highly challenging role in a fast-paced, often highly chaotic, and stressful environment. ?

This is a role that combines the duties of a few roles including General Manager, Director of Development, Accountant, Procurement, Engineer, Chef, Event Planner, Office Manager, Public Relations, Marketing Director, Chauffeur, and a few others where appropriate.

Candidates must possess excellent communication, organizational, and development skills. Candidates must also be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings, late nights, and weekends, while also being on call for 24/7.

Overnight, overseas, and last-minute travel required, including trips to primitive sites with challenging environments. Extensive 24/7 courier duties also required. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed and candidates will be required to pay their own way. ?

Responsibilities:

  • Candidates must have a never-say-die attitude and be able to take harsh criticism from internal and external parties, including personal attacks. Threshold for the occasional physical abuse at the start of the role.
  • Must be extremely agile and adaptable to ever-changing conditions due to the calendar and mood of your key stakeholders. Strong organizational skills required to schedule and reschedule.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary including non-verbal language and a completely alien language (which you will learn on the job).
  • Mediation skills required especially when the organization expands with more key stakeholders who will often have disagreements.
  • The ideal candidate must also have the stamina of an Energizer bunny as well as the hearing, speed and reaction time of a cat – with the ability to go from 0-100 in 3 seconds to attend to sudden, urgent matters in the vicinity. ??
  • Multi-tasking is also a huge plus, with the ability to perform physical tasks while on a call, and attending to your stakeholder(s)’ urgent needs.

  • Other responsibilities include hygiene management and janitorial operations throughout the facility as well as temporary areas of operations such as in dining establishments and sister company visits.
  • Candidates must also assume final and complete accountability for the end product.

Advancement & Promotion:

There will be a chance to get promoted after 18 years or until your stakeholders move on to their next role. Until such time, your job is to remain in the same position without complaining while constantly retraining and updating your skills.

Previous Experience:

None required. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

Salary:

You will get paid in kind, through smiles and good memories. There may be a chance that you may get some returns from your stakeholder(s) in the future but you should not count on it. ?

When you die, the best practice is to give your stakeholder(s) everything you have left.

Benefits:

While no health or dental insurance, pension, and paid holidays are provided, you will be given limitless opportunities for personal growth and an immense sense of satisfaction for a job well done.
