The job market looking very strong up to Christmas

Here we go! Quarter 4 is upon us.

As we now start to approach the end of the year, the panic buttons have truly been hit, with an influx of work coming through our doors, all to get their jobs filled and bulking up temps for the end of the year rush. Let's end this year with a bang.

?As we say every year, it’s always best to start the process before the rush. Now, this is more the case than ever. With the market still competitive, and that perfect candidate hiding and waiting, it is best to get the recruiting?started sooner rather than later.

?In my five years of recruitment experience, I have never seen a market change as quickly as we are now seeing. This will be the most competitive final push.

?Recent studies, it has shown when a candidate applies for a role, they also apply for 3 to 4 roles at a time. The time frame from job hunt to job secured has also decreased from 4 weeks to 2.

?Things to think about for this last quarter…

-?Benefits?– What are these? Why would someone want to come and work for you? How can we promote these? Can we do this as a package? These are our best tool to use to represent you in the market.

-?Salary?– Are you sure it is the market rate? Salaries are also changing quickly. Be sure to consult us, to get an accurate reading on where your roles should be sitting.

-?Role requirements?– Work out what is nice to have, what we can teach, and what are non-negotiables. Depending on the role, we will present a candidate who historically might not have been considered perfect on paper, but is 75% there and has the right attitude - 9/10 these candidates get the role!

-?Speed?– This is your number one tool to use in the market, I’ve said it all year, move quickly.

?Jobs are coming in fast, this is increasing month on month and we are not seeing an increase of candidates at the same rate. Although we are placing some of the best candidates I have worked with. For every role, whether it is Warehouse Storeperson, or a General Manager position, we are head hunting and using our databases to find the very best talent. For temps, we never give up until we fill an assignment.

?It is more important than ever to have plans A, B and C, as well as a partner who can consult, support, and work with you. Take the pressure off, touch base, and let us support you, so we can finish this year strong together.
