FYI: I-Series COBOL & SQL are the core skillset they are looking for as this is for Rx-CLAIM Batch work where they use COBOL extensively. Client has only 2% of RPG work and they stopped using RPG since 2016 and are slowly migrating out of RPG.

i Series/IBM COBOL Developer

100% Remote

Required:

• experience with iSeries/IBM COBOL Development (CBL/CBLLE/CL)
• Working knowledge in an IBM Mainframe environment - proficient with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and working with IBM Mainframe Z/OS toolsets.
• Experience with SQL, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL, Oracle, IMS CICS, and TSO.
• Experience in technical design writing and documentation.
• Proficient with usage of MS office - Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint
• Ability to analyze issues/development requests and design/document technical solution
• Ability to test development change, document results
• Experience with Azure
• SQL background/knowledge
• Aldon knowledge
• Good communication skills
