Job Hunting Sucks, But It Doesn't Have To

Job Hunting Sucks, But It Doesn't Have To

Let's get it out there. Job hunting sucks. You spend all day working on your resume and cover letter, you apply to jobs, dozens...hundreds? Filling out the same information on the application that's already on the resume and don't get me started on there being no salary range like you're supposed to pretend that salary doesn't matter. We're not here to work for free people!

After applying you feel lucky to get an interview and when you finally get the interview you either hear nothing back or the job isn't as great as you were hoping it would be. You want a job that not only pays the bills but also a job that makes you feel fulfilled. You are tired of waiting. Waiting for the weekend, waiting for vacation, waiting for retirement. You are ready for the next step in your career and you are sick of wasting time, you want this to be a better process, you need to get hired but without all of the stress and desperation...you need to get hired happily.

My name is Noelle Johnson and I am the CEO of My Interview Buddy and the facilitator of the Happily Hired program.I have helped people across industries and roles, as varied as engineers, teachers, researchers, digital marketers and even once, a clown, make getting into a new job much more simple. I have years of experience interviewing candidates, reviewing resumes and cover letters as a hiring manager or recruiter and have spent years learning about the successful interview and career climbing techniques so that YOU don't have to. I'm also a working mother who understands that working full time and looking for a new job while rising a family is very stressful.

Did you know it takes an average of 650 hours (around 6 months!) to find a new job? That's a part-time job! Think of it. Networking, writing your resume, writing your cover letter, job searching, applying, preparing for interviews, preparing for 2nd, 3rd and sometime 6 round interviews, all to get a job offer where we are sometimes unsure of what the salary offer will even be.

It's stressful, but I can help make it easier. Happily hired is a 6 week program to help you with the strategy that you need to get into a job fast.

In this program we will go over job-huntingd strategies that will save you time, specific to your industry because one job board does not fit all. We will go over mindset and career intentions to make sure that you have built the right career trajectory and can avoid any mental pitfalls that could be preventing you from securing a great job. We will talk about your cover letter, resumes, LinkedIn, how to network to find you a job (and benefit you for years to come) and how to deliver an interview so great that it is sure to make you a top candidate.

But you may be asking how does this save you time in your job search? Along with all of the training in this series we have a job board tracker to help you stay on track with all of the jobs you are applying for in order, a resume and LinkedIn review from a hiring expert with feedback specific to your title and industry and we will have Q&As weekly with Noelle, a career coach and a recruiter that I look forward to introducing you to answer your questions to help save you time in your job search efforts. In addition, because this is a group program you will have access to a community of people going through exactly what you are going through and can work with you on your needs.

This program is not only going to save you time and make job hunting suck left but it will leave you empowered to take the next step in your career. If you want to hear more about the Happily Hired program, check us out at myinterviewbuddy.com/happyhired
