JIRA basics for dummies # 1

JIRA is a tool that allows to manage SDLC ( software development life cycle) process, activities and interactions between teams and track their work progress. it's set of products that your organization may decide to use one of them or all based on your strategic vision and what you are looking to accomplish

  • JIRA Software - is used by software development team to plan, build and release a software, to fix bugs, create sprints and monitor build status
  • JIRA Service Desk - is used by IT and customer service team to create and Run a service Desk, log service tickets, monitor service queues and resolve service requests
  • JIRA Core - is used by business teams such as finance, marketing and HR to manage projects and keep their team organized, create and monitor business tasks.

These are typical use cases for the three JIRA products but only your imagination is a limit.
