ENGIE North America Inc. has surpassed 1.8 GW of operational Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity across the United States, highlighting its rapid expansion in this sector to support grid needs. Since the start of 2024, the company has added approximately 1 GW of new BESS capacity to its North American portfolio. This milestone reinforces ENGIE’s leadership in the energy transition within the U.S., where it already has a substantial presence through its renewable assets and energy management platform.

Minnesota Power , a division of ALLETE Inc. has announced plans to build two major solar projects in northern Minnesota, advancing its commitment to a cleaner energy future while prioritizing regional renewable energy investments. The Regal Solar project near Royalton and the Boswell Solar project in Cohasset were selected through a competitive bidding process as part of Minnesota Power’s 2023 solar request for proposals, overseen by an independent evaluator.
