A Letter From Jimmy Wu-
As an Aviation Professional and 10 years+ ASA Board Director, it is truly my privilege to be reelected and to serve this amazing association. I recognize that for 25 years now, this association represents the best, brightest, and hardest-working professionals in Aviation Quality and Safety. Without all of your efforts, there would be such a robust industry. Let me begin by saying, thank you, to all of you that have been members of ASA and supported ASA for all these years. It is a great organization, and it's been a humbling experience to be one of your directors.
In my heart, I know all of you believe in what this great organization can be and how it has helped not only your company but the collective of us as an industry. That's the journey we're on today to make our industry better, more ethical and safer for the collective. Many years ago, your board directors, Mr. Mitch Weinberg and Brent Webb took me in, along with Michele Dickstein, and gave me the opportunity to learn how great this association is. Motivated then by a single, simple, yet powerful idea - that I might play a small part in building a better association. An association, which I have learned to love and respect. My work introduced me to the finest people in this industry. I listened to each of you, and you shared with me, the challenges this industry faced. Overtime, I came to realize, that these challenges, weren't simply local but needed the association to fight for on a State, Federal and International level. It was in this community that I received the best aviation education, and where I learned the true meaning of the power of a collective.
Today the association is at over 650+ members. The board has grown to over IO+ directors. We have some of the finest leaders of our industry that serve you. We represent not only suppliers, but OEM, MRO, airlines, engines, and aircraft manufactures. It was on this board that I learned to disagree without being disagreeable. That it is okay, to compromise so long as our principles are not compromised. And, to listen to each other, before we made a collective decision. These are the thing that your current Board of Directors and your Present Michelle Dickstein has encouraged. And, these are some of the core values that we cherish.
Truly, I believe the work we are doing does has improved this industry and has impacted, quality, safety, and profitability for each member. lives. And that, in itself, is exciting.
A huge thank you to all of the membership, and I will continue to champion the principles, and values of this great association.
Sincerely,
Jimmy Wu
