Jim Fountaine and Chad Cappe of Nanticoke, ON Team Reach Personal Safe Driving Milestones

Nanticoke, ON drivers Jim Fountaine (left in photo above) and Chad Cappe (right) recently achieved personal driving safety milestones of two million and one million safe driving miles respectively.

Veteran drivers Jim and Chad, along with the rest of the Nanticoke Team, travel approximately 1,500,000 miles per year supplying our LIN, LOX and LAR (liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon) customers primarily in the Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario as well as Western New York, Northern Pennsylvania, and Eastern Michigan.

With a high concentration of customers and multiple deliveries in and around the Greater Toronto area, achieving this level of safe driving performance is challenging--inclement weather, traffic congestion, and other hazards are frequent. Such an accomplishment takes years of dedicated safety focus.   

In addition to several team safe driving awards, the Nanticoke terminal has the following driver team members that have attained the following safe driving milestones:  

• Two million safe driving miles - Wayne Buckborough, Don Wingrove and Pete Verini (recently retired).
• One million safe driving miles - Jamie Bowen, Robert Birkinshaw, Bill Franks and Lyle McKnight.

Congratulations to all the Nanticoke drivers and other team members for their dedication, focus and safety performance in reaching these milestones as they work through increased traffic, varying weather extremes and all the other challengers they face during their workdays.
