Overview:

The 2008 global financial crisis was followed by substantial regulatory reforms globally aiming at improving the resilience of financial markets and institutions. More recently, voluminous digital financial innovation has brought about new and unfamiliar challenges to regulators who must curb potential adverse consequences of such innovations and at the same time facilitate digitalization. The main theme of the conference is on the?effectiveness of regulation in financial markets and financial institutions?in the context of traditional financial markets and more recent financial innovation. The focus of the?JIFMIM?special theme is on cross-country studies. We seek theoretical and empirical papers that shed light on the conference theme in an international context. Non-international papers on the theme will be considered for publication with?FRL.?

Paper Submission Procedure:

A selected number of submitted papers will be chosen for in-person presentation at the conference to be held at the College of Management Academic Studies, Rishon LeTsyon, Israel on?June 27, 2022. The Conference Scientific Committee will choose selected papers from those presented at the conference to be considered for publication with?JIFMIM?or?FRL?(notification by July 31, 2022). These papers will then go through blind review and invited to revise and resubmit.
