JFCS Helps Build Families

November is National Adoption Month and we’re thrilled to share recent stories of how Adoption Connection has been building families in the Bay Area. Read their heartwarming stories on our blog.

“We’re so grateful to Adoption Connection for being there for us! Their encouragement to keep showing up led us to life with Felix, which we wouldn’t trade for anything.”

Mischa and Lillie had several meetings with birth mothers, but none had ended in adoption. They began to wonder if a successful match would ever happen for them. After a trip, they were in baggage claim when they got a text from Adoption Connection about an immediate hospital placement an hour away. Two days later, they were home with their sweet baby boy.

“Adoption Connection’s intuition, experience, and grace were critical in our journey. Everything has led to this moment when our lives were forever changed.”

Eric and Andreas were eager to start a family but were afraid they weren’t doing all the right things. Adoption Connection gave them tools to work through their emotions, to communicate, and to feel more at ease through the process. They were on Bart when they received the call and 45 minutes later they met their son. In that instant, all their questions, fears, and doubts melted away.

“Our daughter was already here, waiting for us.”

Laurie and Henry had only been working with Adoption Connection for a few months when they got news that a baby girl had been born the day before and they were the birth mother's first choice. In a whirlwind of emotion and activity, they left work and rushed to Sacramento, where they met their daughter for the first time a few hours later. ?
