Jewish Leaders Denounce Trump’s Gaza Proposal in Full-Page NYT Ad

There is nothing new under the sun. Throughout our history there have always been those misguided Jews very openly doing the opposite of what's expected of them. You know what I'm talking about - those Jews who gave up other Jews during the Holocaust. It happened in Roman times, and in Greek times - it's the same scenario over and over again.

The best way for Jews to protect themselves is to focus on Jewish solidarity, on strengthening our communities, on strengthening our values and love of Israel.

And now there's a list of rabbis 350 rabbis, Jewish celebs, and philanthropists who have signed their names on a full-page ad in the New York Times, condemning US President Donald Trump’s proposed takeover of the Gaza Strip, which they perceive as ethnic cleansing. They created a site for taking donations of course. The Jewish Liberation Fund is behind this initiative - a group that's focused on standing in solidarity with Muslims. As I'm always saying - they probably think this will save them when things escalate - but it's misguided thinking.

My recommendation to the Jewish community is simply to ignore them and not take them into account for anything you're planning - they are beyond saving.

The best way for Jews to protect themselves is to focus on Jewish solidarity, on strengthening our communities, on strengthening our values and love of Israel. I think we all understand now that this has nothing to do with how religious you are - all types of Jews need to come together and constantly work on strengthening their connection.

The essence of the entire Torah comes down to 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. All Jewish law and morals are about setting a high standard of human relations - first and foremost among the Jewish people. That is the most challenging aspect of this and the element we're always being measured by. Not how much we connect with our neighbors or enemies - but how much we're willing to break down the walls between us and connect with our fellow Jews. Even if they are very different than us.

That's what all this drama is really about. But how is it possible to prevail in this thing without even understanding what is expected of us?

It's so easy to take all these concepts and apply them to people outside the Jewish faith. But we should know better now after October 7th. The only solidarity we need to focus on is Jewish solidarity, because the whole world is waiting for us to show them how it's done.
