JETSS 2K19: Generation Proud

In a county where youth strive to go overseas and run away from the actual situation, we have always believed that we are changing an approach and a mindset. We are more than 2500 proud entrepreneurs, each one of us has his\her own capacities and talents, but we have the same super ordinary goal; making Tunisia a better nation.

Junior Enterprises of Tunisia or JET, have managed to gather us for a three-day seminar under the name of JETSS the Millennium Run, based on the theory of the “Generation Y” or the so called “I Gen” as a confident, goal-oriented and a challenge seeking generation.

The 3rd edition of Junior Enterprises Spring Seminar was held between the 15th and the 17th of March 2019, gathering more than 500 young leaders from 37 different JEs. The three days we spent together were a real opportunity not to only develop our soft skills but also to improve our interpersonal relationships.

In order to feed the know-how of each one of us, different trainings were provided based on specific packs that we chose. These trainings were more oriented to developing specific needs of each junior entrepreneur. During the workshops we had the chance to work in groups, exchange ideas and develop more our interpersonal relations with other junior entrepreneurs. Thus, what we are really proud of is the fact that our trainers were all JET alumni with successful profiles which highlights the fact that we will always belong to this movement.

 Our journey did not stop there. Actually, and under the name of speed dating, JET provided thirty-minute meetings to all JEs with many firms, to make us more familiar with B2B meetings and prospecting. Many of us had the chance to collaborate with some enterprises that were present throughout the seminar. On the other hand, during Junior Business Fair, each JE had a stand under their disposal where each participant had the chance to tell more about the services they offer, and get to know more about the services that other JEs provide, and why not, collaborate for further projects.

We cannot deny the fact that it was a smart move to make the 37 JEs more familiar with each other and create a friendly atmosphere.

Our last day, marked a turning point as a panel was held with the presence of Mr.Abdelkoddous saadaoui, State Secretary for Ministry of Youth and sports, Mr.Youssef fennira, the CEO of CORP, Mr. Aziz Kallel founder of Flousi, and Mr.Aziz Majoul the founder and CEO of Afkar.ID Company, with the moderation of Mahdi mahjoub.

All our speakers made it clear that we are the real revolution and the real change as entrepreneurs, focusing on the fact that our belonging to the JET made us familiar with so many skills that are vital in the world of business, highlighting the percentage of 95% employability rate from all JEs.

We are not only junior entrepreneurs and collaborators, we are also associates and friends. Friends who had the chance to party together, dance together,sing together and live together. Whether we like it or not we are becoming closer and closer. We are becoming an entity, or more than that, a family. A family that cries after a successful event, or a project. A family that supports each other, a family that believes in the future of the whole movement.

JETSS as a whole was a great opportunity to meet the leaders of tomorrow and also meet the people who were behind the success of such fruitful seminar. We want to thank all of our OC Soldiers for working hard to make this experience worth living.

All in all, we have always believed that changing youth mindset is our responsibility, and with a movement that aims to fill in the gap between our studies and the market, we can build a better generation. We believe in the generation proud, WE ARE GENERATION PROUD.
