This is the reason jets often traverse the west-to-east leg of a flight around 20 to 40 minutes faster than the return leg. Think about that for a moment. Roughly a 10% increase in throughput for free. As in no cash outlay.

But wait, there is more: 10% savings in fuel costs! Are there any such opportunities to do something similar in your business? Sure.

Getting In for Free

If memory serves, it was Zig Ziglar telling of the joy of entering a store on the "push" of the person in front of you as you approach a revolving door at your favorite retailer. You just waltz right in!

That is my point: There are a number of factors that simply put, are free for the taking. Like the Jet Streams. Or the Gulf Stream in the Atlantic Ocean. How so? It helps increase the temperatures on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, helping to make it a great destination getaway. Spring comes a few days earlier and summer stays a few days longer. Therefore, more tourists visit per year.
