?“His name shall be the Prince of Peace, The Everlasting Lord, The Wonderful, the Counselor, The God by all adored, The God by all adored.”

?In the TV show crowned, there is a dialog between a maid and Queen Mary (Grandmother to Queen Elizabeth.?The maid is looking for the queen.?“Which queen to you mean?”?She goes onto explain that while she and her daughter in law all carry the title queen, there is only one who can be called THE Queen.?That would be her granddaughter Queen Elizabeth.

?I thought of that scene as I read this stanza.?Notice that the word “THE” occurs over and over again.?That is because Jesus is not just a Prince of Peace.?He is THE Prince of Peace?He is not just an Everlasting Lord, Jesus is THE everlasting Lord.?He is THE wonderful… THE counselor… and finally THE God.

?Think what that means.?There is none other like Him… He is the only one who is all these things.. God and Man in human flesh and blood.?He is “the way, the truth and the life.”?“There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.?Jesus and Jesus alone is our Savior from sin and death.?Only believing in Him, and Him alone are we saved.?Jesus is THE one!
