Jesus paid it all

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

It has been a while since I've posted any update and I sincerely aplogize for the drop in correspondence. Truth is I recently started as a full-time Divinity student at Campbell University and forgot about how much effort and time it takes to do well. At this moment I'm taking Church History, Old Testament History, Research and Theology. It's been difficult for an old man to get back into the groove.

I hope all of you are preparing for a great Easter. Easter is for sure a celebration for us. Easter is a time to celebrate and give thanks to God for how He sent his some Jesus to be the ultimate sacrifice for us. Jesus is our new covenant. I don't know about you but I am a sinful person. I give my best but my best is still a dirty sacrifice to our Holy God. I am human and I have moments when I lose sight of the prize and ultimately fail. Thankfully, I live under Grace and I have been forgiven of my past sins and for the sins I do today.

I think it is hard to understand how significant God's creation of Salvation through this son, Jesus Christ, means. There is no other way to Heaven other than through Jesus. We can live the best life we can and try to be the best person we can but unless we accept that God sent his son, Jesus, for us....we fall well short. I am not Holy, but Jesus is. John 3:16-17 says "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. v.17. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." Jesus died for my sins. He accepted the full punishment of sin on my behalf. HE paid the price and created a path for everlasting life with the Father.

As I approach Easter I celebrate God's goodness, His Grace, His Love and His Mercy on me. I should be condemned for eternity but thankfully I am not. You can celebrate this gift also.

Humble yourself before HIM and accept this gift. Realize that no matter how good we may feel we are....we will never be good enough on our own to be brought into the Kingdom of Heaven to be in full fellowship with the Father and Son. "Due Time" is now. Seek Him and He will hear you, lift you, love you, cherish you and bless you.
