Jesus, My Shepherd // Psalm 23:1-3

We are going to take the next few days and work through Psalm 23. I love this passage! It begins by showing how the Lord is our shepherd. Jesus referred to Himself as the Good Shepherd who sacrifices himself for the flock if necessary (John 10:11). He came to give us life and life in abundance (John 10:10). Reading these two together show us that Jesus Himself is the One who leads us, protects us, guides us, and makes it possible for us to lack nothing. I think it’s pretty cool to think about how Jesus started His earthly ministry with the invitation, “follow me.” He offers the same today. Let’s commit to follow the One who provides, guides, and protects. Shall we?
