Jesus will find us Failing our Matrics

Unless we accept and act on the fact that:

*Career guidance is crucial in developing our School leavers

*The role of parents is not optional

*Early Childhood Development is not a burden but elementary in laying the foundation for young minds

*ECD practitioners should be qualified, registered contracted and properly rewarded

*Apartheid trained Educators need to be assisted, coached to unlearn corporal punishment

*Educating our learners is a science

*Manipulating standards, processes and learner achievement has not assisted our case and is likely not to

*Learner- Educator ratio need to be reduced to at least 1:20 across

*Our Learner turnover is too HIGH

*School Principals should be suitably qualified for their roles

*School Governance should lead the pack and fully support School management

*Unions need to be reminded of their roles

*Better models of School expenditure need to be explored

*Real ICT skills should be part of any School leaver

*Higher Education institution should come down and assist Schools in preparing learners who in turn are their new clients

*Quality education is possible but has no short-cuts
